I am currently looking for anyone who may be interested in contributing to this site as a guest writer.

Topics would be yours to choose, as long as they are doctrinally sound. They can be commentaries
on selected verses, whole chapters, whole books, personal devotionals, or Psalms you have written.
I also allow Human interest, World news, and even some political reports, as long as those writings
come from a view point as to the effect they have on a Judeo-Christian Worldview.
Please Contact Me if you are interested.

Hurry Up

“We have passes to Disneyland which we’ve always had since our children were small as I’ve stated before. We go but we don’t rush around to get on every ride and to see every parade each time we go. We take our time and stroll thru the park and look at things that most people probably don’t spend time doing if they only have a one day pass or a weekend pass. We go on our favorite ride Pirates of the Caribbean most every time we go, but like last night we went on Casey’s train ride and storybook boat ride, and stood and watched the fireworks in front of the castle. Each time we go we see something new, although the whole park is the same and the structure mainly hasn’t changed, there are always new and exciting things that have probably been there, but we never noticed them. For me as a kid, Disneyland was totally amazing and I was able to enjoy it and now as a parent and grandparent, I get to see the joy in my kids and grandkids faces as they discover the wonder of it all.

The writer of Hebrews says in chapter Four,

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (ESV)

Each time I read a chapter and a book, the Holy Spirit shows me something new that has always been there, but because I was rushing through the word, I might have missed it. I love what it says, discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. People get on Bible plans to read the Bible in a year, which can be good, but like people at Disneyland in a hurry to get on every ride in one day, many miss so much. People read the word and many don’t get nothing out of it, because their intentions and thoughts are not in it. They are just going thru the motions. Paul says in First Corinthians Three,

““I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready, for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way?” (ESV)

It’s never enough to just do something out of tradition, to make us sound “Christian”, look “religious,” but our our hearts and minds in it? Too many churches are filled with the hurry up and get done sermons, so people can get to their Sunday to do lists. Christmas and Easter Sunday’s are jam packed with “submarine” attenders as it’s the only time people make time for God, if at all and so like anything else, even places like Disneyland, we lose the wonder of it all and lose faith, love and hope. I know Disneyland is fictional and I know Walt Disney created it for his imagination to bring to life for young and old to experience and enjoy, but God’s Will is for all to enter into His rest and enjoy the wonder of all His word and creation. He created us for fellowship and to enjoy His word, not just parts and “happy” verses. Read a chapter, listen to a good sermon and then let the Holy Spirit open up the wonder of God’s word, the wonder of it all is there for any who want to come, for any who repent. His Kingdom is “magic” it’s reality and for eternity and the only pass you need is Jesus, “won’t you come?” Jose Barajas
